An invitation for interested members to register
Andrew Brooks will be taking his two children and his 9-5 wagon to spend three days looking around the Kennedy Ranges and Mount Augustus National Park of WA’s Gascoyne region of WA. Any SCCA WA members who would like to take their SAAB for a run are welcome to join him.
Schedule
Day 1. Saturday 22 September. Depart Perth. End Kalbarri. ~ 594kms.
Day 2. Sunday 23rd. Depart Kalbarri. End Gascoyne Junction. ~ 608kms. Long day of driving. Tarmac all the way.
Day 3. Monday 24th. Depart Gascoyne Junction. Take Kennedy Range Loop Road and end the day at Mount Augustus Tourist Park ~ 400kms. Unsealed road traversable by 2WD vehicles. Sights for Day 3 including: Mundary Well Honeycomb Gorge Temple Gorge Draper’s Gorge Edithana Pool Cattle Pool
Day 4. Tuesday 25th. Explore Mount Augustus including walking trails.
Day 5. Wednesday 26th. Explore Mount Augustus including walking trails.
Day 6. Thursday 27th. Depart Mount Augustus Tourist Park. End bush camp site near Murchison roadhouse ~615kms. Some unsealed road. Mostly tarmac. Visit Bilung Pool & Wooramel River Gorges.
Day 7. Friday 28th. Depart bush camp site near Murchison roadhouse. End Perth metro. ~650kms. Tarmac all the way.
