Starting at the Ascot Waters McDonald’s on the corner of Great Eastern Highway and Daly Street. Everyone meets in the car park at 9 am, to enjoy a coffee before a 9:30 departure.
Our drive today will follow the Canning Highway to Fremantle, cross the Swan River, where we should see the progress being made on the new Fremantle traffic bridge.
We will then head to Port Beach and start following the coast northwards. John is planning a second coffee stop at City Beach.
The final destination will be Mindarie Marina; John will guide us there, stopping at a few points of interest along the way, including the new Ocean Reef Marina development.
We will be having lunch at The Boat, one of the two pubs at Mindarie Marina.
