North East Pilgrimage

We meet CentrePoint Midland at 8:30 am for a 9:00 am departure to New Norcia, taking the route less travelled along the Darling Scarp to Toodyay and then towards Calingiri through the green paddocks of the Wheatbelt, sprinkled with the yellow of early-flowering canola. Our first stop in the Benedictine town of New Norcia will be at the Salvado Roadhouse Cafe for a well-deserved coffee to wash down the New Norcia Tart, Nut Cake, Biscotti or Pan Chocolatti you've chosen. After that, we have an hour to relax and chat, or take a stroll through the Abbey Church and Museum, olive groves and historic buildings.

Then we're off to the Mogumber Hub for a hearty pub lunch and refreshments, or even a full Sunday roast at this community-owned tavern. A game pool on the Mogumber table is a must.
